Congratulations goes to Muhammed Adeel Rauf, winner in the first of our 2022 FIFA World Cup contests.
Rauf topped a field of thousands with 30 games picked correctly, narrowly topping fellow contestants Meshal AlGhamdi, Ali AlBasisi, and Hussain AlHilal, who each picked 29 games correctly. Hassan Ibrahim stood alone picking 28 correctly, followed by numerous contestants picking 27 games correctly.
Rauf earns a SAR3,000 gift card for his efforts.
And while his victory marks the end of the first contest, it also signals the start of the second stage and continuation of the overall grand prize. Starting today (Saturday, Dec. 3), be sure to pick your winners throughout the knock-out round. Like Rauf, the person with the most correctly guessed will receive a gift card.
For this year’s quiz, we’ll be giving out three grand prizes:
Win a prize by correctly guessing the most winners during the group stages. (SR3,000 gift card)
Win a prize by correctly guessing the most winners during the knock-out stage. (SR2,000 gift card)
Win a prize by correctly guessing the most results throughout the entire competition. (SR5,000 gift card)
Win one prize — or all three! Simply log onto Aramco Life with your company email and make your predictions! The contest closes at 5 p.m. every day and predictions cannot be changed after they’ve been made.
During the coming weeks, we’ll be posting more stories about the World Cup and information about where to watch the games with your friends and family in Aramco communities.

Aramco LIFE awarded the first of three SAR600 gift cards for those chosen randomly in a draw.
The three, Hammad Ejaz, Danyal Mehmood, and Abdulrahman Anizi, qualified by sharing their opinions in the comment section of this article (see the bottom of the page).
“Thank you for providing us the opportunity to participate and motivate all employees to enjoy the competition,” said Anizi.
Ejaz offered a dose of philosophy, noting: “Luck is not in your hands. But decision is in your hands. Your decision can make luck, but luck can never make your decision, so always trust in yourself!”
For Mehmood, it was just the opportunity to participate in a history-making event, even if it was at a distance.
“I've lived in the Kingdom from 30 years. I feel here same like as my home country or more than that. I feel very proud that Saudi Arabia not only won the first match of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, but won against the FIFA third-highest ranking team Argentina. Alf Mabrook to Saudi team & Daam Izaak Ya Watan.
"Lastly, Aramco LIFE is a great platform for hearing the stories and to share your thoughts about the World Cup,” he continued.
