Saudi Aramco on Sept. 21 held a special dinner ceremony to honor HE Ali I. Al-naimi in recognition of his long years of service with the company and his appointment as Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The event was held under the auspices of Vice Governor of the Eastern Province HRH Amir Sa’ud ibn Naif and was attended by government officials and other dignitaries. Abdullah S. Jum’ah, acting president and chief executive officer of Saudi Aramco and other members of company management also attended the ceremony.

In a speech, Amir Sa’ud ibn Naif, congratulated Al-Naimi on his recent appointment. Amir Sa’ud ibn Naif also noted that such an appointment in not surprising in view of Al-Naimi’s record and contributions to the company, his diligence and his hard work. He also expressed confidence that the company will continue its remarkable achievements under the leadership of Jum’ah.

Jum’ah expressed his pleasure on behalf of the company for the great honor given to Al-Naimi by his appointment. The acting president and chief executive officer also commented on Al-naimi’s leadership during the challenging years of the company’s growth until its emergence as a leading world oil company.

Al-Naimi thanked the amir and guests for attending this special occasion and lauded Saudi Aramco’s employees expressing his trust in their abilities and his hope in their continuing efforts to develop the oil industry in the Kingdom.

Al-Naimi then received a commemorative plaque from Saudi Aramco management and employees as an expression of their appreciation for his efforts and their congratulations to him on the new position.
