Jazan By-Products

VIDEO: How can we reuse by-products from our Jazan Refinery Complex operations?

Soot ash can be used to produce dry ash, which in turn can be the source of some valuable trace metals.

How can the Jazan Refinery Complex potentially reuse by-products generated from its operations?

One example is reusing soot ash, a by-product generated from fuel gasification. Through our soot ash removal unit, the soot ash is recored and dried to produce dry ash.

The dry ask is expected to be passed on to a specialist operator to extract more than 3,000 tons of trace metals such as nickel and vanadium, which can be used for valuable applications.

Nickel can be used to manufacture batteries and strengthen steel. Vanadium can be used to manufacture materials for jet engines and machine components.

By reusing soot ash, we aspire to contribute to boosting industrial efficiency and lowering dust emissions in the atmosphere.
