With the launch of the al-Khobar pier project, local employment expanded rapidly, reflecting the increasing role of local communities in supporting our growth.
We had few local employees in our first year of operations.
Local hiring increased significantly with the decision to build our first pier in al-Khobar in late 1934.
A well-known early local worker was Ahmad Hussain Al-Somali, who worked on the pier before joining Transportation and Government Relations.
After the project’s success, local hiring increased, marking the start of developing local talent within the company.
