Energy equates to prosperity and energy is the backbone of the global economy.
Through more than 90 years, we built a lot of strategic and historic relations with the U.S. partners, and it is continuing to grow.
In the U.S. today we do have huge investments.
Aramco’s Venture Capital already deployed $1.5 billion for startups in the U.S.. It is an area for technology and for investment.
So we have three R&D, research and development centers in the US and the reason is very simple.
It's because of the talents, because of the ecosystem, because of the innovation, and the engine behind it.
We see a lot of opportunities for growth in technology, in AI, especially with our partnership with Humain, in LNG, in refining, lubricants, and in R&D in general.
When we look at the numbers today, oil, gas, even coal are at record levels.
Over the last decades, the growth in hydrocarbons is around 40 million barrels of oil equivalents, which shows that we need all sorts of energies, including alternatives.
Hydrocarbons as a whole is 80% of the global mix.
It didn't change for decades, so I will call it energy addition rather than energy transition.
We continue to invest to ensure that energy is available, it is affordable, it is reliable, and it is secure.
