Engineers on Aramco Stadium Project share similar drive, vision

Mohammed Salamah, Nawaf Al Nuaim, and Rahaf Sameer Abduljawad share similar drive in their work on the Aramco Stadium Project.

Pioneering Spirit

At the Aramco Stadium Project, young engineers Mohammed K. Salamah, Nawaf N. Al Nuaim, and Rahaf S. Abduljawad reflect on how their daily work connects to broader themes of community, purpose, and shared goals.

After a moment of contemplation, they identify clear parallels between the stadium’s mission and the values they hold dear: teamwork, accountability, and improving lives. These principles, they explain, are also at the heart of the stadium’s vision.

Salamah, Al Nuaim, and Abduljawad speak passionately about their sense of duty, team spirit, and empathy — qualities that define their approach to the project. Their pride is evident as they discuss contributing to a development of national significance, one that aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 ambitions.

Outside, cranes tower over al-Khobar’s skyline as construction progresses. Once complete, the 47,000-seat stadium will serve as a hub for community revitalization and social cohesion, seamlessly integrating into the local landscape.

A Day on the project

For Abduljawad, who hails from Jiddah, this is her first major construction project.

“My routine starts early,” Abduljawad shares. “I arrive at work ahead of schedule to tour the site, reviewing overnight progress and addressing challenges. After compiling reports, I head home, recharge, and enjoy horseback riding in the evenings. Working here gives me energy; it’s structured, fulfilling, and rewarding.”

Unity in purpose

The engineers’ responsibilities often extend beyond typical Aramco operations, given the stadium’s public-facing nature. Salamah notes how this isn’t just another project; it’s a responsibility to the community where every beam and bolt carries the weight of pride, purpose, and legacy.

“Football unites people, whether on the field or in the stands,” Salamah says.

Here, we’re all working toward the same goal—maybe not on the same task, but for the same purpose, building more than a stadium-laying the foundation for dreams, unity, and the future of our city.

Al Nuaim emphasizes the stadium’s role as a gathering place.

“This project is about people and connections,” he explains. “Since its announcement, people have been captivated—they already feel ownership. It’s an honor to contribute to something so iconic.”

As construction continues, the stadium stands as a testament to shared ambition—a future landmark where community, culture, and sport will converge.
