Aramco to host 16th World Firefighters Games in 2026
Company receives endorsement as site for the Games in recognition of its commitment to safety, excellence, and community engagement.
The World Firefighters Games Governing Body has announced that Aramco will host the 16th World Firefighters Games (WFG26) in Dammam from Nov. 5-13, 2026. This esteemed international event, which brings together thousands of firefighters from around the globe, has been awarded to Aramco in recognition of its commitment to safety, excellence, and community engagement.
The World Firefighters Games, held biennially, are a celebration of the bravery, skill, and dedication of firefighters. Participants compete in a range of athletic and firefighting-related events designed to showcase their physical fitness, technical expertise, and teamwork.
WFG26 is expected to attract participants and their families from more than 50 countries, making it one of the most significant global gatherings of firefighting professionals.

The World Firefighters Games Governing Body said that Dammam, known for its modern infrastructure, vibrant culture, and strategic location, is an ideal setting for the Games. The 16th World Firefighters Games will feature a diverse range of events, including traditional sports such as athletics, swimming, and cycling, alongside specialized challenges that simulate real-world firefighting scenarios.
The Games will also include educational workshops, cultural exhibitions, and networking opportunities, further enhancing the exchange of knowledge and best practices within the global firefighting community.
