My name is Abeer Alsamari, and I'm a counsel with the In-Kingdom Litigation and Advisory Law Department within Aramco's Law Organization.

Growing up, I was told that I had the unspoken role of a lawyer.

That was my driving sign to go ahead and pursue that major.

I obtained my bachelor's degree in law from Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University, and after joining Aramco, I was sponsored by Aramco to pursue my Master of Laws, or LLM, from Cornell Law School.

When I first joined the Company, I was introduced to the Professional Development Program.

During the first three years of the job, employees are introduced to a variety of courses and internal assignments that would sharpen their skills and introduce them to the Company's business.

I feel important to the Company because my role includes protecting the Company's interests and also supporting the Company in its achievement of its goals, objectives, and strategies.

I knew that being a lawyer at the world's leading integrated energy and chemicals company would add another layer of challenge.

I'm always intrigued to keep myself up to date and informed of the relevant laws and regulations.

The law is ever-changing, and I consider myself lucky to be witnessing this era of time where the Kingdom is going through a wide range of legal reforms under the Kingdom's 2030 vision.
