Extracting oil and gas from reservoirs involves extracting water trapped underground. This requires several technologies throughout the process to monitor their flow.

Our researchers at EXPEC ARC teamed up with the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) to work on developing an innovative microwave resonance-based multiphase flow meter that uses digital-twin AI model technology to accurately measure and monitor the amount of water in real time.

This advancement will enhance well productivity and our reservoir management capabilities.
