Aramco wins top accolade at prestigious international film festival

Aramco has taken home one of the most prestigious accolades at an international film festival, having received the coveted “Company of the Year” Blue Dolphin award.
The company’s Media Production Division (MPD) also won awards for three of its productions and received finalist certificates for three other entries at the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.

The ceremony, held in France on September 28, celebrates the best films, online media productions, and documentaries in the corporate world. The awards are the most highly-regarded in the industry, and Aramco’s winning films were selected from nearly 900 entries from more than 45 countries, all of which were evaluated by a panel of more than 70 jury members.
The event in Cannes was attended by MPD’s Osama S. Alkadi, manager, James M. Farrant, senior consultant, and production directors Sascha Eckardt and Neil MacKay.

Thrive and win

Speaking about the strategy and framework in place at MPD, which has enabled the division to thrive and win these prestigious awards, Alkadi said: “We have worked hard to model ourselves on international film production companies and treat our division as a business entity within a massive corporate organization.
“These awards are a result of our strategy, which focuses on bringing value to the company and being a leader in creative thinking.”
Farrant added: “The awards won by the Media Production Division are a true testament to the world-class production skills, communication expertise, creativity, and dedication of the team in supporting the Public Affairs activities of the company, as it rises from strength to strength.”
