Amstel Qartet and Anass Habib to perform "Stories of the Soul"
Ithra will host the globally recognized act Aug. 24-26.
Embark on an emotional and poetic journey through the world of Arabic music, from Fairuz -- "the Cedar of Lebanon" -- to the stirring music of Mohammed Abdul.
The Amstel Quartet and Moroccan singer Anass Habib will take you from Egyptian father figure to Syed Darwish to the best-known works of the "Lady of Cairo," Umm Kulthum.
"Stories of the Soul" is an exploration of the Arabic spirit presented by the Ithra Theater at the King Abdulaziz Center of World Culture in Dhahran.
Umm Kulthum. Stories of the Soul is a wonderful exploration of the Arabic soul brought to you by the world's most colorful saxophone quartet and vocalist Anass Habib, who is specialized in traditional Arabic, Aramaic, and Byzantine music.
Also the Amstel Quartet will combine the songs with some of their audience all-time favorites instrumentals from their repertoire.
