Aramco chairman HE Yasir O. Al-Rumayyan recently participated in a panel session titled “In Conversation: A Dream Reimagined” at the PRIORITY summit in Miami, organized by the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute.
The PRIORITY 2023 forum was designed to be a disruptive global conversation, bringing together world leaders from business, government, academia, civil society, technology, and the media, to engage in discussions to shape the global agenda.
During the session, moderated by Dina Powell McCormick of Goldman Sachs, Al-Rumayyan discussed a number of topics, including the importance of continued investment in oil and gas as part of the global energy transition.
“What distinguishes Aramco and Saudi Arabia in general is the long-term view,” Al-Rumayyan told the audience in Miami. “It takes time, a longer time to have a full transition.”
Working in remote locations can be both challenging and rewarding, but what happens when you introduce Ramadan to the equation?
The Arabian Sun traveled to meet Omar Alsharif, operations engineer at Marjan GOSP 3 who has been with Aramco for eight years. For five of those years, he studied in the University of Manchester, U.K., on Aramco’s College Degree Program for non-Employees, graduating as a chemical engineer.
In 2019, he joined Aramco’s Safaniyah Offshore Producing Department, spending time in various trainee positions, before becoming a full-time operational engineer stationed at the Marjan GOSP 3 platform, some 70 km (or a half-hour chopper ride) off the coast of Tanajib.
Ashraf A. Al Ghazzawi has been appointed executive vice president of Strategy and Corporate Development effective April 1, 2023. Prior to this he had served in the same role in an acting capacity.

Prior to this role he served as senior vice president and chief technology officer, a role he undertook in May 2015. He continues as chief technology officer.
Children from the Saudi Aramco Expatriate Schools (SAES) gave a warm welcome to Ajyal Center for Comprehensive Education and Life Skills (ACCEL) youngsters as they hosted the second annual Field Day — an event which included a wide-range of fun and exciting outdoor activities.
The event, which was held on Mar. 2 at Dhahran Middle School, was organized for ACCEL children who have special needs and developmental disabilities.
More than 500 people took part in the event across the day, and activities included sports, games that promoted teamwork and social interaction, and the Dance Party, where children were encouraged to boogie to pop songs.
During the month of Ramadan, Aramco LIFE will present recipe videos by Faten Alhareth, a HR professional with the Chemicals HR & Support Services Division.
In her first recipe, she explains how to make basbousa with cream.
