Hydrogen’s role in our long-term strategy

We have adopted a multi-track approach where energy security, sustainability, and adequacy are part of our long-term focus and strategy. 

We are looking at blue hydrogen and working with partners in Japan and South Korea for offtake agreements for our blue hydrogen. 

There are two key factors required to build a blue hydrogen and blue ammonia business. One, you need to have ample and competitive gas resources, and two, you need large CO2 sequestration potential; basically a geological cap to store that CO2.

In the Kingdom and Saudi Aramco, we have both.

We have a strategic interest to be a major player in the hydrogen economy and the value chain.
