Johns Hopkins Medicine experts on medical rotation at JHAH

JHAH has announced the upcoming Johns Hopkins Medicine experts on medical rotation in January.

Dr. Vincent Obias

Dr. Vincent Obias, chief of Colorectal Surgery at JHM will join the JHAH General Surgery Team on medical rotation all next week (Jan. 15-19).

Obias specializes in minimally invasive robotic colon and rectal surgery with a focus on robotic surgery. He treats a variety of conditions, including colorectal cancers, inflammatory bowel disease — including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis — diverticulitis, and functional anorectal disorders. 

Obias has written articles on a variety of subjects, including rectal cancer, post-operative recovery, trauma critical care, and transplant surgery.

His visit is allotted for prescheduled complex cases and procedures for JHAH patients.

Our Colorectal team at JHAH are dedicated experts in treating colorectal and anal cancers and inflammatory bowel disease. The team also provides endoscopy, stoma care, and enhanced recovery after surgery care, as well as complex abdominal wound management.

Dr. Christian Pavlovich

JHAH will also welcome Dr. Christian Pavlovich, a JHM Urology expert who will joint JHAH Dhahran on medical rotation from Jan. 22-26.

Pavlovich treats cancer with an emphasis on minimizing morbidity and maximizing quality of life, while offering patients the latest treatment options.

His clinical focus is on prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and associated disorders, and on clinical trials regarding cancer detection and cancer immunotherapy. He is experienced in performing open, laparoscopic, and other minimally invasive surgeries for the management of urologic tumors.

Pavlovich’s visit is allotted for prescheduled complex cases and procedures for JHAH patients.
