Share Your Photo: Stars as far as the eye can see
In the deep desert near Al Ula, Aramcon Saugata Dass captured this majestic night skyscape.
Saugata Dass was able to capture this image on a clear night in January at Gharmeel, which is 90 km from Al Ula toward Tabuk. The tourists call the area “Star Walk,” due to the clear skies and the number of stars that can be seen.
Dass states that this image seems to be part of the Milky Way galaxy. Although, it also shows the clarity of the night sky in this area, which makes it perfect for capturing these types of images.
He used a Canon R6 camera with a 50 mm lens, using a 10-second long exposure. Dass lives and works in Dhahran. He is a geologist, working in the Gas Reservoir Characterization Department, and has been with the company for seven years.
