Recent graduates take the Firefighter Oath in Ju’aymah

Nearly 200 Apprentice Program for Non-Employees (APNE) participants recently took part in an extraordinary graduation event at the Advanced Training Center in Ju’aymah. Hosted by Aramco’s Fire Protection Department, the 196 graduates of APNE Batch 17 celebrated completion of two years of focused preparation, training, and studies.

FrPD staff formally welcomed the graduates, as well as their friends and co-workers, to the event, which was also witnessed by Aali M. Al Zahrani, vice president of Safety and Industrial Security; Abdullah A. Al Ghamdi, general manager of Industrial Security; Albadr M. Jannah, FrPD manager, and other FrPD delegates.

In addition, FrPD hosted distinguished guests from Saudi Arabia Civil Defense.

A welcome, an oath, and recognitions

Jannah began the ceremony with opening remarks welcoming the families, distinguished guests, and the new firefighters, explaining the importance of the new role they will honorably uphold. Following Jannah’s welcoming comments, there was a marching parade of 196 firefighters, followed by the recitation of the Saudi National Anthem.

The FrPD graduates displayed their commitment and kills as they performed and participated in multiple emergency response scenarios and live fire events. Subsequently, the Firefighter Oath was verbally recited by all graduates entering the new career field. Additionally, the badge pinning was performed for each graduate by senior members within the FrPD.

As a reward for their hard work and dedication, the 10 highest scoring APNEs in the group were given their work location preference from 54 stations scattered throughout the Kingdom.

The event came to a close with group photos for all graduates along with VIP guests and families.
