Procurement and Supply Chain Management promotes employee health with first race

Procurement and Supply Chain Management (P&SCM) recently hosted its first 2.5 km Annual Race.  

 

Introduced to promote a healthy lifestyle, a healthy workplace, and a healthy environment for employees, the event was managed by the P&SCM Social Activities Group and included vital sign monitoring and a general health checkup upon the registration of the participants by the P&SCM Health and Wellness Center.  

 

The event also promoted a green environment theme, with Community Services’ Green Recycling Group providing information and promoting environmental preservation efforts.  

 

Meanwhile, Security, Loss Prevention, Office Services, and Central Community Services Department helped ensure the safety and well-being of attendees and participants.

The race was conducted in the back yard located between North Park 1 and 2, where themed tables were set for spectators to enjoy the nice weather and complementary healthy snacks and drinks as they watched and cheered on the participants.

 

The event was also attended by P&SCM management, with the top three runners being recognized by Mohammed A. Al-Shammary, vice president of P&SCM.

The event was sponsored by the Vice President of P&SCM and attended by the P&SCM Management team. The top three runners with the lowest recorded time were recognized by the VP of P&SCM.
