Dhahran Chess Club celebrates past year, looks forward to bright future
Sign up for membership will be this Friday at King’s Park during Aramco’s Self-Direct Groups Expo.
The past year has been a bittersweet period in Dhahran as the community struggled to find meaningful connections in this new order of social distancing.
Over 2021, the Dhahran Chess Club (DCC) was able to continue its tournaments throughout the year thanks to the efforts of an active board and the commitment of many Dhahran families and adult DCC members who continued to sign up for membership and special events.
The remarkable efforts and joy of all members meeting regularly demonstrated the community's resilience during troubling times. DCC president Rowena Rahman urges all to join.
"We encourage many more to join us and actively coordinate chess games daily, if not weekly. Sign up for membership on this Friday, Dec. 10, from 2 to 3:30 pm and from 6 to 7 p.m .at King's Park during Aramco's Self-Directed Groups Expo. All are welcome!"
