For the first time, Aramco's Downstream business line held its well-known safety program, Downstream Leadership Safety Boot Camp Workshop for middle management at Ras Tanura, including leaders from Aramco’s domestic and international joint ventures and affiliates.

Organized in collaboration with the Downstream Operational Excellence (OE) and Compliance Division, this workshop was hosted by the DS Development Academy in partnership of DS Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) and Ras Tanura Area (RTA) Admin departments. The workshop was visited by GME general manager, Fawwaz I. Nawwab and RTA general manager, Hesham A. Al Adel to engage with the workshop’s participants, and show continued support to the program and reinforce the importance of the initiative as part of business line efforts to continuously improve its HSE performance.

‘Building safety leadership skills is a must’

“Building safety leadership skills is a must and I have full confidence in our employees, including our local and international partners, to continuously improve our safety performance,” Nawwab said.

Al Adel highlighted the safety challenges in our workplace and reinforced the importance of remaining vigilant, noting, “When it comes to safety, it is all about your team engagement and this venue is a great opportunity for all of you to get engaged with each other, sharing safety knowledge, and improve networking as well.”

The workshop covers a number of topics that relate to psychological safety, leadership behaviors, performance management, empowerment, environment and health.

Louis M. Anento Glim from ARLANXEO stated that the workshop is a great venue for benchmarking, networking, and to open discussions between leaders from Aramco, DS domestic joint ventures, and international affiliates.
