Al-Qahtani has been chosen as the winner in the ‘brand strategy’ and ‘refining-energy’ categories of the 2021 Korea CEO Hall of Fame Award for two years in a row.

For a second consecutive year, S-OIL CEO Hussain Al-Qahtani has won CEO of the Year awards in “brand strategy” and “refining energy” by Korea’s Institute of Industrial Policy Studies. 

 

The awards, sponsored by South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, chose Al-Qahtani for his creative leadership, operational excellence, co-existence with stakeholders, marketing activities, and his win-win approach with local communities.

 

CEOs are chosen who made outstanding achievements with superb business competency and differentiated brand strategies.

 

Al-Qahtani has been a champion of S-OIL’s goals of maintaining profitable and sustainable growth while becoming “the most competitive, creative and clean energy and chemical company. Driven by Al-Qahtani’s strategic decision-making efforts to ensure operational reliability of refinery facilities, including its high-tech petrochemical complex, and based on this, optimized the whole production processes and enhanced efficiency.

 

Brand-wise, S-OIL is going after consumer marketing dedicated to creating new value and delivering customer satisfaction. The company runs integrated marketing activities based on in-depth understanding of customers, market and brand and keeps consistent brand identity that ensures close communication with consumers.

 

S-OIL said the award recognized the CEO and the company’s efforts toward sustainable growth based on creative leadership in the midst of rapidly-changing industrial landscape triggered by COVID-19.

 

The company added that it will keep steering sustainable management founded on Saudi Vision 2030 to become “The Most Competitive, Creative and Clean Energy and Chemical Company.”
