In 1984, success came to Deutsche Schachtbau und Tiefbohrgesselschaft’s Rig 301 for its top marks among Onshore Workover rigs.
In January 1984, Deutsche Schachtbau und Tiefbohrgesselschaft (DST) Rig 301 was selected as Onshore Workover’s 1983 Rig of the Year. The rig accumulated points in seven categories throughout 1983, ranging from workload to safety, and came in first out of 12 other rigs. The Rig-of-the-Year jacket was presented to all rig workers.
